Writeiq add-on
Photograph a student’s handwritten work with a phone or tablet camera. Writeiq Vision processes the image and runs it through the same assessment engine — producing identical feedback, the same Teach Next lesson plan, and the same leadership analytics. No typing required.
Join the pilot to access Vision →Writeiq works for typed writing. Most schools also do handwritten assessments — exam conditions, drafts, in-class tasks. Without the ability to assess handwritten work, those assessments sit outside the system. Teachers mark them manually. The data stays on paper.
Writeiq Vision removes that barrier. Photograph the work. The assessment engine does the rest.
Writeiq Vision uses the same IWAF v2.3 scoring framework as typed assessments. Students get the same criterion-by-criterion feedback. Teachers get the same Teach Next panel. Leaders get the same analytics. The only difference is how the work enters the system.
Any modern phone or tablet camera is sufficient. No specialist scanning equipment required. Teachers photograph work in the classroom, in exam conditions, or after collection.
The image is processed and transcribed automatically. The IWAF framework scores the transcribed text. Feedback and Teach Next appear in the same time as a typed submission.
Criterion-by-criterion student feedback, teacher class diagnostic, Teach Next lesson plan, and leadership analytics — identical to a typed assessment. No compromise on output.
Vision works with all six Writeiq writing modes: narrative, persuasive, recount, analytical, primary narrative, and primary persuasive. Handwritten or typed — same modes, same framework.
Writeiq Vision is available as a flat annual school add-on for Small and Standard tier schools. It is included at no extra cost in Growth and Large tiers.
